History
Mercedes-Benz executives Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher recognized an opportunity for enhanced performance features in the 1960s and developed the AMG® lineup. This racetrack-inspired line of vehicles was kicked off by the AMG® Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8. Since that first vehicle, the unique styling features, performance-oriented drivetrains, and daily driving functionality have withstood the test of time. Now, you can enjoy an AMG® variant on most Mercedes-Benz models.
Performance
Beneath the hood of every Mercedes-Benz AMG®, Belmont drivers can expect to find turbocharged engines and standard 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. You'll love extremely strong powerhouses like the 6.0-liter V12 biturbocharged engine or classic acceleration-focused 2.0-liter I4 turbocharged engines in some of our coupes and sedans.
