What's New About the 2023 CLS?

After just undergoing a significant redesign the year prior, there are hardly any changes to the 2023 Mercedes-Benz CLS, which changes its pricing on Manufaktur paint options. Still, there are several recent revisions for Bay Area customers to look back on after this coupe sparked a sleek new era in luxury design.

Key Updates to the 2023 CLS & Its Recent Redesign

  • No Extra Cost for Non-Metallic Manufaktur CLS Colors: Want to coat your CLS Coupe in one of the Manufaktur premium paint options? Now you can at no additional cost, as all non-metallic Manufaktur colors are now included with base model pricing.
  • Only One CLS Model Remains: This is the second year of the CLS range including only one coupe model, the CLS 450.
  • CLS Cockpit Upgrades: By welcoming a new multifunction steering wheel, Bay Area CLS owners can now have their hands detected by a two-zone sensor pad. This way, the steering wheel doesn't have to move to let the CLS Coupe's driver assistance systems know that you're in control while driving along the 101 Freeway or San Francisco streets. The CLS now offers Bay Area luxury car buyers five new dual-leather options. Paddle shifters have also been introduced to the CLS. Open Pore Walnut Brown Wood and High-Gloss Grey Wood are fresh finishes that have joined the CLS.
  • Fresh Look: The AMG model shows off fresh styling, including AMG sill trim, a redesigned radiator grille, more dramatic air intakes, and a front bumper with a black A-wing. Main CLS Coupe models also have received recent styling revisions, including a new Star-texture grille, new accents for any of the eight wheel design options, and the expansion of the paint palette.
  • Expanding the CLS Safety Setup: The redesign welcomed additional standard safety features to the CLS, including Adaptive Highbeam Assist and Active Brake Assist.

Bay Area luxury car buyers can choose between dual leather seats in Saddle Brown, Yacht Blue, Classic Red, Deep White, or Tartufo Brown, along with leather upholstery in Magma Grey, Sienna Black, Sienna Brown, and Neva Grey. Performance

The CLS Coupe's 362-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 engine delivers 369 pound-feet of torque and works with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission for more decisive shifting on Bay Area highways. The CLS 450 can grip tight corners around the Bay Area through 4MATIC® all-wheel drive, and DYNAMIC SELECT modes are available for this fuel-efficient luxury coupe that earns 30 highway miles per gallon on the 101 Freeway, thanks to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.

Technology

Need to grab a coffee in the Bay Area? Is your CLS Coupe too cold? Say anything to your CLS and it will respond through the Mercedes-Benz User Experience featuring Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding. MB Navigation, along with smartphone features and apps with Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ integration, are all accessible through the CLS Coupe's 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, also standard, lets Belmont motorists switch between Sport, Discreet, Progressive, or Modern Classic layouts.

Safety

With an available Head-Up Display, visual instruments float over the hood, providing Bay Area CLS owners with a full-color display of vital driving data. Have Adaptive Cruise steer or stop and go in Bay Area traffic along the 101 Freeway with your CLS Coupe, which provides Car-to-X technology that allows your Mercedes-Benz to reach farther and react faster while communicating with a central hub.
